Industrial action to affect ScotRail services every Sunday until 25 July

Industrial action is taking place across the ScotRail network every Sunday until 25 July.

Trains will run only on the routes as listed below -

  • Glasgow Central - Ayr (09:00 and every hour until 21:00)
  • Ayr - Glasgow Central (08:45 and every hour until 21:45)
  • Glasgow Central - Largs (09:40 and every hour until 20:40)
  • Largs - Glasgow Central (09:54 and every hour until 20:54)
  • Glasgow Central - Gourock (09:20 and then every hour until 21:23)
  • Gourock - Glasgow Central (09:23 and hourly until 21:23)
  • Helensburgh Central - Edinburgh (reduced service from 08:55 until 18:55)
  • Edinburgh - Helensburgh Central (reduced service from 08:36 until 18:40)
  • Balloch - Airdrie (reduced service from 09:28 until 19:27)
  • Airdrie - Balloch (reduced service from 08:57 until 18:59)


Advice for key workers:

For key workers, there will be limited bus services for University Hospital Hairmyres, Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline, University Hospital Wishaw and Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.

Essential travel advice:

If your journey is affected on Sundays, you can use your ticket to travel instead on the day before or after. If you would prefer not to travel, you can request a refund on your ticket here.

The Journey Planner has not yet been updated with the revised timetable for strike days from Sunday 18 July onwards. Please check back closer to the time of travel.
