Greater Anglia and Stansted Express are running a reduced timetable in line with current passenger demand and current government advice.

The current level of service across the Greater Anglia network stands at approximately 85% of the normal timetable and most of the network is receiving at least an hourly service. 

Stansted Express service are continuing to run at a frequency of 2 to 3 trains per hour. 

Timetable changes from 13 September:

Greater Anglia will be adding more services to their timetables from 13 September to reflect more people heading back to work and school. The key points are as follows :

Great Eastern services (between Ipswich, Harwich, Clacton, Colchester, Braintree, Chelmsford, Southminster, Southend and London) - Full timetable reintroduced.

Intercity services (Norwich, Diss, Stowmarket, Ipswich, Manningtree, Colchester, Chelmsford, Stratford, London) - There will be additional weekday services. There will be two weekday Norwich in 90 services, which call only at Ipswich and make the journey in 90 minutes (08:00 Norwich to London Liverpool Street, 17:00 London Liverpool Street to Norwich). There will also be additional Saturday services.

West Anglia services (between Kings Lynn, Cambridge, Hertford East and London) - Additional weekday services will run, a near normal service will operate for most of the day.

Stansted Express services (between Stansted Airport and London) - a half hourly service continues with new, longer trains and plenty of seating capacity.

Regional services (Marks Tey to Sudbury, Ipswich to Felixstowe/Lowestoft/Cambridge/Peterborough and Norwich to Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth/ Sheringham/Cambridge and Stansted Airport) - The full timetable continues.

Government guidance on face coverings:

In line with government guidance, you are no longer required by law to wear a face covering. However, please respect others and, unless exempt, wear a face covering crowded spaces throughout your journey.

Please be aware that if you are using TfL (Transport for London) services for any part of your journey, it remains mandatory to wear a face covering (unless exempt).
